Large-scale commercial developers show renewed interest in Conroe area

Residential growth throughout the Conroe area continues to attract large-scale commercial and mixed-use development to the I-45 corridor.

Projects such as the 750,000-square-foot 336 Marketplace and the 115-acre Conroe Waterfront Center along I-45 are among several major commercial tracts of land under development in Conroe. Once complete, the projects are expected to include retail and dining establishments as well as multifamily housing and hotel, office and medical space.

Summit Universal Montgomery Summit Business Park

Summit Universal was created by Mike Ogorchock and his two sons, Michael and Kristopher. Kris and Michael are active members of the Montgomery County A&M Club and have facilitated the annual scholarship golf tournament for the last six years. They have taken the tournament from 12 teams to over 30 teams and raised over $10,000 that funds scholarships for high school students in Montgomery County who have been accepted into and are attending A&M. The Ogorchock men and their families support many local charities including Folds of Honor Golf Tournament, MISD Bear Backer Tournament, Rotary Club of Lake Conroe Golf Tournament and are all active members of the Montgomery and Conroe/Lake Conroe chambers.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

MONTGOMERY — On Thursday, June 4, 2015, Montgomery Summit Business Park (MSBP), along with the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce, celebrated their grand opening with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony presenting the new business park. The ceremony took place in front of one of their newly finished office suite buildings, located at 15349 Summit Park Drive, Montgomery, TX 77356.

MONTGOMERY — The small town of Montgomery may soon be the next desired location for business with the development of a new 96-acre mixed used business park off FM 1097.

Recently annexed, the development, dubbed the Montgomery Summit Business Park, will be in the city limits and work on the infrastructure is expected to begin in late October.

Unlike other potential projects nearby, it’s not waiting for tenants before it breaks ground. (If we all waited around for tenants, we’d never have built anything.)

Large industrial park to break ground near Conroe

A 96-acre business park near Conroe will break ground later this month.

Located on FM 1097 just north of downtown Montgomery, the Montgomery Summit Business Park will include 597,200 square feet of retail, office and office/warehouse flex space. The development will be anchored by an 87,000-square-foot Uncle Bob’s Self Storage, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2015.

Building construction will begin in October. Phase I of the project is estimated to cost $11 million.
